At Last!

We've been really busy the past few weeks and we have finally ~~seen~~ heard the fruit of our labor (naks!). We'll see if we can upload any videos, but most of 'em consists of bloopers.

I think we did pretty decently. We arrived at the studio (GIGS Studio) an hour before, which was actually good. We got to warm up and the owner had been very nice enough to let us. Thank you, kuya! We'll probably practice there again.

So, what songs had we played there?

I'm frustrated with my ISO download. I have to download the Xenogears ISO in chunks and each one takes about 20-30 minutes!! *bangs head on the wall* I decided to download the ISO when my CD started to hang. Oh well ... can't blame my CD ... it's probably half as old as me. :P

I've been trying to memorize "For The Future". *hides from her bandmates* Aaaaah~ Glamorous Sky is distracting me ... I can't help it.

03. How were you involved in the anime music world?

Syempre nung bata pa ako, inimpluwensyahan ako ng ate ko ng anime... Sailor Moon, MKR at kung anu-ano. Tapos syempre naririnig ko yung mga opening at ending themes, di ko namamalayan na natatanim na sa utak ko yun. Pinaka-namemorize ko nung grade school e yung Hohoemi no Bakudan XD

Then eto nga, nung napadpad naman ako sa AMA, trip-trip lang na nagkayayaan na magbuo ng bandang "kakaiba" sina Mike5... Singit naman ako sabay sabing: "Tara mag-ANIME tayo!" ;p

04. What are your opinion, comments, suggestions, etc. on tRANCE? Any inspiring messages? (fishing!)

tRANCE. Hmm.

Nung una talaga akala ko parang *toot* *toot* (2 words yan! LOL) "sing/dance droup na naman ito", at kakanta ng Momosu songs, but they proved me wrong. ;p Nung unang performance sa Ongaku Sessions, mejo naapreciate ko~ (as in medyo lang, coz skeptic nga ako, naaalala ko pa ung horrors ng... alam nyo na yon! Hehe~) Pero ayun, anlaki ng pinagbago nung sa FF Gathering last year. ^___^

Di ko nga akalain na magkukrus ang landas ko and with these GUYS (ahehe!), courtesy of CHEESEka, ang kanilang so-called manager-san ^___^ Nayaya kasi ako, game naman ako, shempre Do as Infinity ba naman ang tutugtugin e! XD At nung rehearsals, yun, lalo ko nakita yung much much improvements, yung kanya-kanyang voice characteristics, at yung potential. (Then afterwards, yung EVILNESS at kulit factor na nila. XD hehe~)

Ang tanging suggestions ko is, try to sing much more popular (or in lay man's term, PANG-MASA) anime songs para makahatak-~~POGI~~ POINTS~ XD Chaka more on groovy and catchy upbeat songs naman, madalas kasi kayo senti at "SAKURA GUMI"-type (fyi: Morning Musume project yun ahehe!). Shempre kasabay nun is yung much aggressive (Oi wag kau mangalmot na parang leon sa stage ha!) and, "dramatic" gestures, depende sa mood ng song~ ;p

OOH, bago ko malimutan... May request lang~ (heheh kapal muks amf) Kantahin nyo naman yung "Kohaku No Yurikago" sometime o~ Fave ko kasi yan. Cheese! XD

Yun lang po! (Haba noh? Pwede nang pang-testi sa Friendster~) Good luck sa inyo~!

Ok naman yung band practice natin nung Saturday ... though sayang nga lang na kailangan natin maghanap ng bagong bassist.

Adi! (referring to self ... haha) Ano ba yan! Kailan mo pa ba imememorize yung mga lyrics?! Haha. Sayang din at naiwan ni Aissa ang clearbook niya. Di niya tuloy alam yung parts niya nung practice. Next time, ok na yan :D Mogs, wala ng drums sa isang part sa "Life". :D

So ... Dream Theater na lang tugtugin ninyo? XD ahaha :P ... Di ako worthy sa ganyan, para sa mga masters lang yan! Naks! :D

Btw ... nakita ko 'tong pic na ito habang hinahalungkat ko yung "memory box" ko sa kwarto ko.

i was bored, so i decided to log into this account today. and here i will stay for now, because i realized that it's been quite some time since i last wrote anything in this blog. (that, and my keyboard's being weird again, it took a lot of effort and second-guessing to be able to log into this account, haha! so, oo, i'm staying here first.

I'm in Love

With the song "Life", from Bleach (also in our current line-up for this weekend ;D) It's light, it's catchy, cute percussions, and it's really fun how the overall tone keeps on changing. When Adi first described it to me ("bubbly and girly" were the words, I think?), I was expecting something......weird, a la Catch You Catch Me, or something as equally horrifying, y'get the picture. The girl's voice is, by sound alone, bubbly and girly, but the overall mood of the song and the way she carries it, isn't, so it strikes a balance. So far, among all the songs we have, this has to be my favorite. It doesn't help either, that I've been listening to it over and over 'cause, apart from trying to figure out the synths (there aren't that many, thank God, because Blurry Eyes is killer--yeah, even if we've done it before, haha), I need to finish up with a story, and I find that this song inspires, for the mood for the story (somwewhat WAFF but not quite, y'get?)

So, ayun. I would just like to personally thank Derrick Yap for introducing the song, and bringing a little sunshine back into my life. >P No, I'm just kidding, my life isn't as dreary or as desolate as I just made it sound (I'm over-dramatic that way.) But the song is nice.

Last Last Last (...are there enough Last's yet?) Week's Practice

Was WOW HEEEY, NOT BAD! kind of good. (Or maybwe this is 'cause, you know, put our last practice and the disast'rous first practice next to each other, and there's a sharp contrast, and okay, um, just any other practice we'll be having from now on will LOOK good, whenever put next to the first one. But let's not be pessimistic here.) Red Damien = Nice sounds, crazy air-conditioning system, but hey, nice sounds! And our band, we have a nice energy. ......Well okay, you guys then, you guys hads a nice energy, y'had a good thing going. I'm betting though, this coming Saturday, when we run through the new line-up, it possibly, might not be as nice as the practice before then, but that's okay--we haven't seen each other in awhile, and these songs are fairly new. (Except for Blurry Eyes. But I'm having a hell of a time finding Life chords online.)

I recorded three of last practice's songs on my digicam, but the recording's really blurry (the sounds, I mwean), and I'm on dial-up internet ONLY, I don't think it's possible for me to put those videos online to share with you people. Tell you what, this Saturday, I'm bringing my tape recorder, and I'll set it again, so we'll be able to hear ourselves. Game? Game. :D

Adi, uminom ka ng salabat kung madali kang ma-paos!! o_o

I'd give detailed, constructive criticism on everyone else, but I don't know ANYTHING about guitars or drum-playing, so my music student powers are limited to only anything related to theory, and voice performance and specifics. :(

What We Need Is...

Love? Yeah well, everyone needs love. But that's not the point I'm leading up to here. I think, as friends, one on one, or in groups of three, we're good, but we're not good as an entire band. And that's the more important thing, that we be more tight-knit as a band. We can't just be people who come together once every two or so weeks, make good music, then leave. Syempre that's not how it works, it wouldn't really be good, good music, then. I don't think we'd last long, too, if that's just how we're going to let things go. This whole band thing is a team thing, ansd we'rew not being very team-y, really. o_o I'm not asking for much (and I hope I don't come across as condescending or too big to any of you...) but I really think we should try and be more comfortable with each other, individually, and as a whole. :)

Ako, okay. I've known Adi and Just for the longest time, and I've known Dek, and Mogs na rin, for a few years, but I never really got close to Mogs, it used to be more of Dek I'd talk to. (Haha Dek, naaalala mo pa ba yan? Yun mga tawag mo galing Smart? XD) I've known Neil na rin for sometime, but I've never gotten around to talking to him. I'm willing to reconnect and all that, y'know--wwe'vew all xchangweds so mucxh sinxcew then, but y'know, if we can still work together okay, in a band, without being as united, then imagine mo lang, if we were all happy and tight-knit and all. XD

(Adi--this is why our barkada's still together pala after all these years, we worked really well as a group :D)

Sorry if this part of the entry comes across as anything harsh, or big nga, coming from me, an alleged "snob". People tell me that I'm intimidating, and I never seem to want to make friends and all--okay, that's not true, I'm just quiet when I'm not familiar with the situation, I like to stand back and take things in for awhile, though I'm not shy, and people can tell that by my dating. I think that's why people think I'm a snob. I'm typing this all down, about how our band needs more unity and all, 'cause i want to get to know everyone else i don't know that well yet/for now, better. :D (Wow, parang ang dami natin ah.) Okay? okay. I love having band practices now. :D Today, we actually sounded really good. (I wonder if it's just one of those days or the sound system in that studio was really good ... or ... *thinks*) \o/ Anyway, practice today was good and we ended later than 1:00pm but that's ok! *grins*

Wow 1st time posting here! Feel so gewd oh yessss...

Ok so after that disastrous 1st practice, I've been really working hard to perfect my drum lines >.< I'm sure our next practice woud be 100x better! Count on it XD

As of now I'm liking Alone the best out of the 3 initial songs.. I don't know >_> Maybe because I'm now just starting to realize how complex this song is. Hahaha. I want a good challenge <3 I love Houkiboshi's overall feel better though still =b
